Investigative journalists face an array of legal threats just for doing their jobs. Onerous criminal libel laws, insult laws, dubious charges of violating privacy, national security, and secrecy laws are just a few of the ways that individuals, companies, and governments try to shut down our work. Fortunately, there is a growing body of international law protecting journalists' rights to dig for information and report the truth. We're pleased to present this panel of top media legal experts with the long-time head of Swedish Broadcasting’s premier investigative program. They’ll offer wise advice on how to stay out of court -- and what to do when you're sued.
