South Africa has been gripped by the story of the Gupta family, accused of “state capture” through their relationship with the president and his family. The leak of a trove of Gupta emails (GuptaLeaks) provided a rich source of evidence of the extraordinary details of this family’s influence and power. On this panel some of the country's top investigative journalists who have been and still are mining the data, including Jacques Pauw, author of the just-released The President's Keepers: Those Keeping Zuma in Power and out of Prison, which South African security officials are threatening to censor.
