An investigative reporter for 25 years. Worked in publications and TV networks in India and elsewhere- The Telegraph, The Statesman, Times of India, Asian Age, NDTV , BBC, reporting and leading reporting teams and editing Newspapers. Now Group Editor Herald Publications, Goa's oldest and largest media house established in 1900 as a Portuguese newspaper which changed its avatar to a powerful English daily, O Herald O which continues to be the Voice of Goa today. Herald (as its popularly known) supports and encourages journalism which is feisty, sustaining and game changing, working closely with local communities to deliver this change.
Even as a Regional paper, it earmarks budgets for training and attending conferences such as these. I have attended the Asian Investigative Journalism Conferences in Manila and Kathmandu ( 2014 & 16) and the GIJN Lillihammer (Norway) in 2015, supported by my newspaper.
Delivering change in communities through people-centric stories is something I would like to talk about and contribute to.
