Jeff Kelly Lowenstein is an investigative journalist, author and assistant professor at Grand Valley State University. His work has been published in The New Yorker and the Center for Public Integrity, among many outlets, and has earned national and international recognition from organizations like Investigative Reporters and Editors, the National Press Club and the National Association of Black Journalists. A Fulbright Scholar, Specialist and Teacher, he has written or edited five books. He and his wife Dunreith live in Grand Rapids, Michigan; their son Aidan lives in Berkeley, California.
