Emmanuel has been practicing journalism for 27 years now. He is the founder of ghanabusinessnews.com in 2008 to fill the gap and the urgent need for independent journalism in Ghana at a time commercial and political interests have taken over media ownership in the country and the stories that need to be told are not being told. He also founded NewsBridge Africa, a journalism skills training not-for-profit organisation and has been training journalists and CSOs in Ghana and around Africa.

He was awarded a Knight-Bagehot Fellowship in Economic s and Business Journalism at Columbia University in 2013.

Last December 2016 he broke the story about a 'Fake US Embassy' that operated for 10 years before it was discovered and shut down, and the story went viral. The story was from information that was published by the US Department of State on its website, but was online for a month until he discovered it! He is looking forward to talking about his experiences in running a business news website on a shoe string budget.
