Tom Heinemann is an independent investigative journalist and filmmaker.

He is a two-time winner of the “Outstanding Investigative Journalist” award of the Danish Association of Investigative Journalism (FUJ) and is the man behind “The Micro Debt”-film that exposed Grameen Bank and “The Carbon Crooks”, a film that explains the carbon trading scheme in the context of a criminal market instead of an environmental project. His latest film, "Bitter Grapes - Slavery in the vineyards" (2016) will be screened at the conference.
Currently he is working on a project about freedom of expression for investigative journalism in a number of dubious countries.
